The company is a leading innovator and manufacturer of high-performance door frames and door system components, operating out of four facilities in NC, TX and OR.
Overview The primary purpose of the crew member for this machine center is to ensure that a quality product is produced at a pace to meet production goals.
What you will do:
Learn to properly stack material and use stacking sticks correctly.
Achieve increased Quality and production as training period progresses.
Assist in clean up of area and machine using proper procedures.
Keep track of supplies needed for machine center.
Must rotate within all the fingerjoint center positions.
Coordinate with material handler to remove bins/units in a timely fashion.
Train on the proper way to remove jammed wood.
Assists the feeder by removing plastic from bundles.
Must neatly stack finished products in specific quantities.
Learn to recognize defects in quality of moulded products and possible causes.
Understand terminology used in the work area.
Distinguish between repairable products and those unusable.
What you will need:
Preferably one year experience in manufacturing setting HS Diploma or GED preferred Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to use a tape measure.
Use hand tools, and push carts in a safe and efficient manner.
Ability to lift up to 35lbs.
Ability to read, follow, and understand work instructions from both written and verbal sources and basic writing skills.
