- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and assisting with any necessary procedures.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and treatments by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
- Provide patient education on various topics such as medication instructions, diet and exercise recommendations, and general health information.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
Requirements - Proficient in Spanish preferred but not required.
- Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) techniques.
- Experience with medication administration and basic laboratory procedures.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on providing compassionate and attentive service.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.
