Summary:
Coordinates the daily business aspects of the clinic(s).
Ensures efficient operations to include billing, proper staffing, documentation accuracy, posting, insurance, verifications, payments, reconciliations, productivity reports.
Maintains physician supervision schedule and will report by 1st of month.
Uses supplied administrative financial reports to gauge expenditures vs net revenue and form action plans to ensure clinic profitability.
Answers phone calls, greets patients, patient appointments scheduling and reminder, patient registration, verifying insurance and benefits, verifying co-pays, deductibles, collecting, posting payments received, and ensuring all information is correct and inputted in patient chart timely and accurately.
Position Duties (Not all Inclusive) Oversee daily business aspects of clinic(s) to ensure appropriate staffing and working in any areas where help is needed.
Reports information to Director as applicable.
Ensures accurate documentation and posting of clinic charges daily.
Helps to oversee effective communication with employees and patients, addressing patient issues that arise, and reports employee issues to director.
Liaison between provider and patient, Director, Hospital and others as applicable.
Offer payment options, accept cash, credit, and debit cards in person and over the phone.
Ensures proper documentation in electronic charts.
Ensures orders are maintained and kept current inventory of medication and supplies.
Maintaining fiscal responsibility for supply costs and services.
Answer all telephone calls, greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone in a professional and courteous manner.
Schedule appointments efficiently and appropriately.
Communicate the financial policy, ensure patient understand their portion owed, i.
e.
co-pay etc.
Smile when collecting payment.
Confidence is key for this role.
Always ensure you have accurate information for what you are asking for, their benefit details etc.
Confirm appointments:
confirm the patient will show according to schedule, and remind patients of their appointments for returning for regular care, let them know when it's time to reschedule.
Review next day appointments, each day look over the following day's appointments and check for any patients who have large balances due.
Be prepared to have a plan in place for how you will handle this when they arrive.
